Testing for Legionella Contamination in Commercial and Residential properties :
I would like the water in my office / nursing home/ school tested to see if it complies with the water regulations / control of Legionella regulations ………
Waterlink / Drinking Water Services as the commercial arm of one of the main water utilities in England have extensive experience and understanding of the regulations surrounding the storage of water in residential and commercial properties.
Water that is stored for any period can be liable to contamination from legionella which is widespread in the environment. Stored water, in particular where the water is retained for periods at a temperature of between 20C and 45C is an ideal breeding ground for legionella bacteria, the more so if the container has a supply of nutrients such as rust, algae, scale, sludge.
We can advise on your legal responsibilities, this can be a recommendation for a testing regime, what you should test and how to resolve matters should the testing show up any concerns.
